- Have your mare checked by a
licensed vet to ensure breeding soundness and ovulation cycle.

- Contact stallion owner to ensure
all your questions have been answered Before you decide on a
breeding. Any questions about fees and costs should be addressed
at this time. We invite you to schedule an appointment to visit
our facilities.

- Fill out a breeding contract for
each breeding you are purchasing.

- Mail your breeding
contract, breeding deposit check, and proof of negative Coggins to:

- Have your mares cycles checked (if
you haven't already) and clear your mare's arrival date for breeding
with the ranch to schedule her stay.

- Bring your mare (remember her
Coggins) to LaVergne Quarter Horses to drop her off for breeding.
(Please do not expect any LaVergne Quarter Horses personnel to attempt
to breed your mare right there while you wait. Unless it has been
arranged ahead of time, we try to give our incoming mares the
opportunity to calm down and settle in after unloading from the
trailer.)

- Please stay in contact with Medwyn
or Kathy LaVergne on the progress of your mare (via phone and/or email)
and when she will be ready to pick up.

- Upon arriving to pick up your mare,
please settle any outstanding bill before starting to load your mare.

- If your mare did not stay until her
pregnancy was confirmed, please have her checked at 14 to 21 days
(sonogram) and
inform the stallion owner as soon as possible with the results.

- As soon as your foal is born,
please contact LaVergne Quarter Horses to request your Breeders
Certificate. (Please enclose a photo your of foal at the time of
request.)
